The liberal thinks in terms of microeconomics but the socialist thinks in term of macroeconomics. The liberal condemns the morality of individual businessmen while the socialist makes materialist observations about the class nature of politics and business.

To the liberal the rich person is corrupt. The socialist does not criticize the rich but differentiates those who control the means of production from those who work but share no ownership. A worker, like a Doctor or Lawyer, can still be rich.
